ITINERARY

Day 01

Pick up from Kathgodam and drive to Jageshwar. Visit the historical 11th century Jageshwar temples that once marked the long pilgrimage route to Mount Kailash where a stop was mandatory in ancient times.

   Time: 4 hours drive          1870 Meters

Day 02

Checkout and drive to Dharchula, the border town by the Kali river that divides India and Nepal. This busy town is the final settlement that leads to the three major valleys of the Kumaon Himalayas. Finish the day with an outing across the bridge to the neighbouring country Nepal for a plate of piping hot momos!

   Time: 6.5 hours drive          920 Meters

Day 03

Wake up at ease for a relaxed breakfast, then begin the journey to the Vyas valley. We arrive at our homestay in Nabhi or Napalchu village by the afternoon and rest. In the evening, we walk around the village as part of our beautiful acclimatisation walk to adjust to the significant height gain.

   Time: 4-5 hours drive          3200 Meters

Day 04

Gear up for the big day, when we drive towards Jolingkong for an hour towards Adi Kailash mountain, also known as ‘Chota’ Kailash or mini Kailash. We begin our short kilometre-long trek to Parvati Sarovar, the stunning turquoise lake believed to be the home of the goddess. Once there, spend time in prayer at the temple or walk around for photo-ops.We return to the base for lunch, and drive back to Napalchu.

Day 05

On our last day in the Vyas valley, we drive out for an hour to Nabhidang village to see the iconic Om Parvat that showcases an ‘om’ symbol in the snows through the year. After soaking in the vibrations of this magical place, we bid adieu to Vyas valley and drive back to Dharchula.

   Time: 5.5 hours drive          4400 Meters

Day 06

After a leisurely breakfast, we leave for Patal Bhuvaneshwar to see the historical caves there, popular both with adventurers and pilgrims due to their geological and mythological significance. Farewell dinner and overnight at hotel.

   Time: 6.5 hours drive          1350 Meters

Day 07

Breakfast followed by departure. Drive back to Kathgodam to catch the afternoon Shatabdi (recommended) or the overnight train to New Delhi.

    Pick-up and drop-off from the designated starting point as per the itinerary (Dehradun, Rishikesh, or Kathgodam).
    All sightseeing in a dedicated mountain-ready vehicle (Ertiga or similar).

    Comfortable guesthouses on the drives to and from the trailhead, homestays in villages, and alpine tents on the trekking trail.
  • Permits & Fees: Forest department entry fees and trekking permits.
  • Trek : Guided trek with professional camping gear.
  • Meals: All meals during the trek (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and dinner and breakfast for the remaining itinerary.
  • Staff: English-speaking tour leader, experienced local guides, and camping staff.
