The Har-Ki-Dun Trek is a legendary journey into the "valley of the Gods," following the turquoise Supin River through the heart of Govind Pashu Vihar National Park. In summer, the valley becomes a vibrant alpine paradise, where ancient wooden villages like Osla stand amidst emerald meadows and blooming wildflowers. Surrounded by a dramatic amphitheater of peaks, including the majestic Swargarohini massif, this trek perfectly blends high-altitude grandeur with timeless Himalayan heritage.

ITINERARY
Day 01
Your adventure begins with a long and scenic drive from Dehradun to the mountain village of Sankri. The route winds through dense forests of pine and follows the sparkling Tons River, passing through small Himalayan hamlets. As you gain elevation, the air becomes cooler and the views of the Garhwal peaks start to emerge. You will spend the evening in a local guesthouse or homestay, preparing for the trek ahead and enjoying a warm meal.
Day 02
After a short drive to the road head at Gangad, the trek begins along a well-defined trail beside the Supin River. You will walk through ancient forests of chestnut, chinars, and willows, crossing wooden bridges and passing terraced fields. The day ends at the legendary Osla village, famous for its unique architecture and the ancient temple of Someshwar Devta. This village offers a deep look into the traditional lives of the mountain folk who have lived here for centuries.
Day 03
Today’s trail takes you higher into the meadows, offering breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar Range. The path is a gradual ascent that opens up into vast alpine pastures as you leave the tree line behind. Kalkatiyadhar is a stunning campsite situated on a ridge, providing a panoramic view of the Har Ki Dun valley and the majestic peaks of Swargarohini I, II, and III. The sunset from this high-altitude meadow is a truly unforgettable sight.
Day 04
This is the highlight of the trek as you head toward the cradle-shaped Har Ki Dun valley. Flanked by massive glaciers and snow-capped peaks, the valley is a paradise of wildflowers and mountain streams. After exploring the valley floor and soaking in the views of Jaundhar Glacier and Banderpoonch, you will begin your return walk. Instead of heading all the way back, you will veer toward Boslo, a serene and less-visited clearing perfect for a quiet night in the wilderness.
Day 05
Leaving the high valley behind, you will trek toward the sprawling meadow of Devsu Thatch. The trail passes through sections of dense forest and opens up into one of the most beautiful grazing grounds in the region. This meadow is exceptionally large and offers a magnificent view of the Har Ki Dun valley from a different perspective. It is an ideal spot for photography and relaxing amidst the lush greenery and mountain silence.
Day 06
On your penultimate day, you will begin the final descent back toward the civilization of Sankri. The trail winds back down through the rich flora of the Supin valley, passing through familiar forests and river crossings. You will eventually reach the road head and take a short vehicle transfer back to Sankri. The evening is a time for celebration, reflecting on the journey through the valley of gods with your fellow trekkers.
Day 07
After an early breakfast, you will board the vehicle for the return drive to Dehradun. The journey back allows you to see the beautiful landscape of the Mori and Purola regions one last time. You will descend from the high mountains back to the foothills, arriving in Dehradun by late evening, where your trek trip concludes.
