ITINERARY

Day 1

Your adventure begins early in the morning with a pickup from Dehradun. The scenic mountain drive winds past Mussoorie and follows the gorge of the sparkling Yamuna River through deep valleys. As you head deeper into the Yamunotri valley, you will catch your first glimpses of the massive Bandarpoonch massif. By late afternoon, you'll reach Ranachatti, an ancient village rich in traditional Pahadi culture. Spend your evening resting at your homestay, exploring the village, or visiting the historic wooden temple of Someshwar Mahadev.

Distance : 160-170 km (Drive) Time: 7-8 hours (Drive)          2,134 metres (7,000 feet)

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, your foot journey begins. You'll start with a gradual ascent through village farmlands before diving into a thick, beautiful forest of ancient oak and rhododendron trees—which burst with bright pink "Buransh" flowers during spring. After tackling a few rocky and moderately steep trail sections, you will emerge into the wide, peaceful clearing of Bamsingh campsite. Settle into your tents and watch the distant snow-capped ridges turn golden at sunset.

Distance : 4 km (Trek) Time: 3-4 hours (Trek)          2,804 metres (9,200 feet)

Day 3

Today’s trek is a scenic transition from the deep forest canopy to open alpine terrain. The trail winds upwards under old oaks, crossing fresh mountain streams and occasional clearings with views of the valley below. Slowly, the dense forest drops behind you, and you emerge into the vast rolling grasslands of Dinnala Bugyal. Our camp is pitched close to the pristine, quiet waters of Dinala Tal, offering an incredibly peaceful evening of stargazing under clear mountain skies.

Distance : 4 km (Trek) Time: 4 hours (Trek)          3,277 metres (10,750 feet)

Day 4

Summit Day! We start early to catch the crisp morning weather. The trail climbs along the high-altitude ridge, leading you up toward the Aancha Top summit. Reaching the top is an unforgettable moment—unlike many treks, you get an absolute 360-degree, unobstructed view of the Garhwal Himalayas. The giant peaks of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Black Peak, and the Gangotri range stand spectacularly all around you. After absorbing the monumental views, you will descend back to the safety and comfort of your Dinnala campsite.

Distance : 5-6 km (Round trip Trek) Time: 5-6 hours (Trek)          3,810 metres (12,500 feet)

Day 5

After enjoying the morning views over a warm breakfast, you begin your descent. Retracing your steps, you will walk down through the vast meadows and quiet forest trails. The downhill walk is relaxed and gentle on the knees, letting you soak in the changing vegetation as the altitude drops. By afternoon, you'll arrive back in the warm, welcoming village of Ranachatti. Spend your final evening enjoying a traditional home-cooked meal at the homestay.

Distance : 8 km (Trek) Time: 5 hours (Trek)         3,277 metres (10,750 feet)
