ITINERARY
Day 01
Upon your arrival in Dibrugarh, begin your drive to Roing. The journey offers your first glimpse of the lush landscapes of this northeastern region. Check into your accommodation in Roing and settle in for the evening.
Day 02
Today is dedicated to the vibrant Rei Festival of the Idu Mishmi tribe. The festival is a celebration of prosperity and community, marked by traditional dances, songs, and rituals. You'll get to witness the unique cultural practices of the tribe and enjoy their hospitality.
Day 03
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Anini. The route takes you across the breathtaking Mayudia Pass, known for its stunning views and, in winter, a chance to see snowfall. Once you arrive in Anini, you'll explore some of the local villages to get a sense of daily life in this remote area.
Day 04
Spend the day exploring the serene Mathu valley. This area is known for its natural beauty and is perfect for a leisurely walk. After taking in the peaceful surroundings, you'll drive back to Anini for the night.
Day 05
A full day of exploration in the pristine Dri valley, also known as the ‘valley of waterfalls’. We'll start with a refreshing hike to the picturesque Mawu waterfall, soaking in the natural beauty. After this, we'll visit the Chigu Eco Resort, nestled within the Dibang Wildlife Sanctuary, and later return to the Dri Aafra campsite for a well-deserved lunch. In the afternoon, we'll journey to Achesho village, the last inhabited settlement near the Indo-Tibet border, offering a unique glimpse into remote life. Our return to Anini will involve crossing a fascinating hanging bridge, adding an adventurous touch to the day.
Day 06
Begin your journey back to Dibrugarh. Enjoy the picturesque drive as you retrace your steps through the landscapes you've come to know over the past few days. Spend the night in Dibrugarh, giving you time to relax before your flight.
Day 7
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Dibrugarh airport to catch your flight, concluding your journey through this lesser known region.
