ITINERARY
Day 01
Your journey begins with a scenic long drive from Kathgodam. The road winds through the fragrant pine forests of Almora and the rolling tea gardens of Kausani, eventually climbing deep into the heart of the mountains where the road ends and the ancient village of Wan begins. It is a small, bustling mountain village that serves as the gateway to the trek, offering beautiful sunset views over the valley.
Day 02
The trekking begins today with a steady ascent through forests. The trail gradually climbs to the first campsite at Gujreni, helping with initial acclimatisation.
Day 03
Continue the upward climb from Gujreni to Tilandi. This shorter trekking day allows for good acclimatization as you gain more altitude before the challenging summit day.
Day 04
This is the most strenuous day, involving the highest ascent of the trek. You will pass through Jhandi top and climb to the Brahmatal summit for panoramic views before descending slightly to the Brahmatal camp for the night.
Day 05
A long descent awaits, covering a significant distance from the Brahmatal camp all the way back down to Lohajung, as you rapidly lose altitude.
Day 06
After an early breakfast, you will retrace your route back to the plains. The drive offers a final chance to admire the mountain vistas before arriving back in Kathgodam by late evening, where your Himalayan adventure concludes.
